About this product
Saponified cold and left to cure for six weeks. That cure is the reason a handmade bar lasts rather than melting away in a fortnight — most quick soaps skip it because it ties up shelf space. Neem goes in as leaf powder, so the bar smells green rather than perfumed.
Looking after it
Keep the bar on a draining soap dish. A bar that sits in water will dissolve regardless of how well it was made.

What we check before a product is listed

No preservatives in food
Chutneys and jams are made without vinegar or stabilisers. Bakery is dispatched within a week of baking.
Azo-free dyes in textiles
Reactive and natural dyes only, printed and dried in shade so the colour bonds to the fibre instead of sitting on it.
Cure times are respected
Six weeks for cold-process soap, a full day of sun for every papad. Shortening these is how a handmade product is made to look handmade.
Batch-tested where it matters
Honey, ghee and spices are tested for adulteration before packing, and the report is available on request.

The opposite. Cold-process soap retains the glycerine that commercial soap makers extract and sell separately, which is why it feels less stripping.
