The story of Rekha Sharma
Rekha learned crochet from her grandmother and picked it up again during the 2020 lockdown, making coasters for neighbours. Within a year she had a waiting list on WhatsApp.
She works alone, between school pick-ups, and makes every blanket to order in the colours the buyer chooses. Saahvi handles the listing and the courier so she can spend her hours on the hook.
“A blanket takes me three weeks. I would rather make fewer and make them properly.”
